Sanju ji provides Kaashi Arts with its artistic backbone. A performer the world over and educator for over 30 years, Pandit ji is a unique force within the world of Indian Classical music.

Hailing from a family of musicians, Sanju ji represents the 6th generation of Benaresi Tabla players. He is the direct descendant and founder of the Benares Gharana (School) of Tabla, Pandit Ram Sahai ji (1780–1826).

Sarab has been a student of music since early childhood. He is a Tabla player under the direction of Pandit Sanju Sahai. Influenced by the impact Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh ji made on the Hindustani Sangeet (Indian Classical music) scene, he devoted himself to the idea of taking ancient arts and bringing them to a contemporary setting.

At Kaashi Arts, Sarab plays the role of the facilitator in this process. He also keeps a keen eye on digital content, project origination & curation.

Tobias Brent

Tobias has had a long standing relationship with the arts, being involved with theatre and music from an early age. Since then, he has a BA in Music Production from Leeds College of Music, co-founded the non-profit music exchange program Recording Africa and has travelled round the world recording and producing albums for traditional world music artists.

Tobias is involved with curating live concerts and events at Kaashi Arts.
